Muncie Civic Theatre presents CHURCH & STATE by Jason Odell Williams in the Casazza Family Studio Theatre.
Three days before his bid for re-election, in the wake of a school shooting in his hometown of Raleigh, NC, a Republican Senator makes an of-the-cuff comment that makes its way to Twitter, calling into question the Senator’s stance on guns and God. His devoutly Christian wife and liberal Jewish campaign manager try to contain the damage, and comedy ensues. The play is simultaneously funny, heartbreaking, and uplifting.
Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:00pm and the Sunday matinees are at 3:00pm. Rated PG-13.
