This program is designed to equip performers with a professional acting experience. Encore+ is an audition based program that allows students to work with actors of all ages and seasoned directors. Encore auditions occur early in the season to allow for actors who do not get cast the ability to participate in another program. This year, our Encore+ program is part of our Mainstage season. Standard Cost for this program is $150, financial assistance is available. To apply for financial assistance click the appropriate box within the registration form and you will be sent more information.
Ready to get back on stage? We are having open auditions for Velveteen Rabbit for all ages!!! Fill out the audition form using the link. You will then get an automated email with access to sides from the show. You’ll create a short video showcasing your performance. Then, submit it via an online folder.
We are hoping to cast as many family groups as possible so consider auditioning with various members of your household.

The cast will be announced the week of October 12th and rehearsals will start promptly. Rehearsals will be Sunday through Thursday evenings.
Alex: a little boy (or girl) between the ages of 7-10
Timothy: toy wooden lion, may have allergies
Mouse: wind-up mouse toy
Bulka: a toy rag puppy
Velveteen Rabbit: stuffed toy rabbit, matures a lot throughout the story
Rabbits: wild real rabbits with different personalities (timid, suspicious, bold out-going)
Toy Fairy: magical being who looks after the toys we have loved and lost, may be played by an adult
Nana: caretaker of Alex, caring, funny, will be played by an adult
Skin Horse: well-worn toy horse, Velveteen Rabbit’s mentor, will be played by an adult
Doctor: advises Nana, comedic actor, will be played by an adult
Other possible roles:
- Extra Toys may be added to the play
- Scarlet Fear may be played by actors with strength in movement
Sides for auditions will be emailed to you once you fill out Audition Form.
